The Gaff Youth Project is a voluntary youth community group devoted to changing young people’s lives through informal education. The Gaff Youth Club was established in 2011 as result of Wyedean School consulting with the young people of Sedbury and surrounding Parishes. The name of the youth club and project, the Gaff, was made by the young people. Associating words that best described what the provision meant to them.
The youth club has grown from strength to strength thanks to the youth club committee and Youth Workers who have worked extremely hard to provide a diverse range of activities and opportunities for the young people to engage in. Barry Stevens, the lead youth worker is an experienced qualified youth worker with over 20 years’ experience.
Barry and the youth work team are passionate about supporting all young people to achieve their full potential in life by delivering engaging sessions that are empowering, while giving all young people the opportunity to realise and reach their full potential.
